A lot has been going on in the hiphop world of the Ghanaian music industry within these past days. Sarkodie and M.anifest have been the most talked about musicians in the country due to an ongoing beef between both rappers.
Entertainment critics, fans, social media commentators, musicians and industry players have shared their thoughts on the feud between the two artistes. Most of these people think a beef of this nature is good for the industry if it continues as healthy as it is at the moment without anyone pulling trigger or knife somewhere along the line.
After Sarkodie and M.anifest released their diss songs, Kanta and godMc, Ghanaians beseeched other rappers to also add their voice to the fight either to fuel it or solve the issue. Some rappers have listened to this call and have also recorded their songs to react to the ongoing situation, which has become talk of the town.
Gemini released “ceasefire” on Tuesday to tell both acts to quench their anger. Hours after his release, music producer and rapper, Jay So also put his thoughts in a song he calls “Preach”. In the song, he told the followers of this beef some vital information they never knew.
According to Jay So, Sarkodie’s “Bossy” which started the feud was played to M.anifest in April. He continued in the song that M.anifest loved it and never had an issue with it.
“I played Bossy for your man (M.anifest) way back in April. You (M.anifest) told me it was hot, way back in April. (I) Even told you it was props Sark gave you way back in April. So why a diss track, I can you are hateful” Jay So said in his song, Preach.
He concluded by again telling the world that he used to provide M.anifest beats so he should think twice before talking.
“I see right through your actions so before you speak, just know that you are talking to the doppest man that brought you beat”
