Several Ghanaian celebrities appeared at the recently held Chale Wote Arts Festival, which ended on Sunday, August 22 at James Town in Accra.
A section of the stars who graced the occasion led a newly established group, Mutashi movement to the arts festival.
Mutashi, which means let’s, arise in the Hausa language is a non- partisan youth activist movement comprising of Ghanaian youth.
The group was led by musician Sidney and music producer Wei Ye Oteng to exhibit their arts at the 2016 Chale Wote Arts festival.
Sidney who spoke to Zionfelix.net after the festival said the group seeks to organise youths in the country to have a common voice.
“Almost all political parties in the country have their youth wing but the country as a whole does not have a youth group. So Mutashi wants to bring all the youth under one big umbrella so that we can have one voice. When anything is affecting the society or the country we can all come under the umbrella of Mutashi and do it
Maybe if I do it alone or someone does it alone it won’t get anywhere but if we come together it will go far. We do not care about the party someone belongs” Sidney told Zonfelix.net
