358 has information that Accra Metropolitan Chief Executive, Alfred Oko Vanderpuije (Mayor of Accra) may contest the Parliamentary seat of the Ablekuma South constituency.

The constituency located on the southern coast of Accra with traditional areas such as, Korle Gono, Mamprobi, Banana Inn, Gleffe, Akoto Lante and some part of Dansoman is a place where Dr. Vanderpuije is very familiar with, having grown up there.

The seat is currently occupied by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fritz Baffour but indications are that he is not too keen on a return to the seat.
